SATURN (Studying Atmospheric Pollution in Urban Areas) is one of the twelve subprojects that make up EUROTRAC-2, the EUREKA project studying the transport and chemical transportation of air pollutants over Europe. As the "urban" subproject of EUROTRAC-2, SATURN aims at a better understanding of urban air pollution as a prerequisite for finding effective solutions to air quality problems and for a sustainable development in the urban environment. For this purpose, the main scientific objective of this subproject is to substantially improve our ability of establishing source-receptor relationships at the urban scale.
